Heidi is the foundation of Worrywort Kennels. She produced my first litter. Out of that litter I kept Ava...and as they say, the rest is history.
Heidi has quite a few different types of temperment testing. And she has her herding capability test title with sheep through AHBA. She is a ball crazy, high driven cuddle bunny (loves to give kisses) from working lines. Heidi has used her working ability and wonderful temperment to become a registered Therapy Dog. She delights those that are institutionalized and unable to see and pet a dog due to personal and health circumstances. She only had the one litter and is spayed and retired from breeding. Heidi's service to the community must run in her genes as her grandsire served the community as a policy dog: Orthos Vom Tiekerhook was 11 times Schutzhund 3, IPO3 and 11 times DPO2, WPO and was the 1991 and 1992 North American Police Dog Champion, 1993 North American Police Dog Runner Up and the 1991 Schutzhund Nationals Police Dog Runner Up. Behind Orthos is a solid Schutzhund working pedigree.
She is one great looking, ROCK SOLID shepherd!

Ava is not only Grand Show Championship titled with multiple Best of Breed and Herding Group placement wins, but is a registered therapy dog and is AHBA sheep herding titled. Ava also has multiple AKC Best of Breed puppy wins as well as an AKC German Shepherd Specialty Best Puppy and AKC German Shepherd Specialty Best of Sweepstakes Puppy. She also produces quality pups as well as she already has SIX puppies that have earned their conformation show championships!!!
She is one GREAT looking sheep herding shepherd!
Ava has produced sables, saddles (traditional black/tan), white puppies. She has also produced not only short (normal stock coat), but plush and long coated puppies.

< NEWSFLASH: Ava has FIVE offspring with OFA EXCELLENT hips!! Less than 4% of Shepherds get that top rating. Woo-hoo!

Aspen is not only Show Champion titled but is Herding Instict tested with sheep and ducks. (Must run in the genes from her mother!) Aspen received her UKC Show Championship title at 6 months 8 days of age. Quite a feat for such a young dog! Notably, her brother Crosby received his UKC Champion title on the day he turned 7 months. Excellence runs strong in this line!

Zelda has her Show Championship title, Canine Good Citizen certificate and has completed her Herding Instinct Certificate with ducks. She is Tasha's and Jake's full sister and all are 1/4 Czech Pohranicni Straze Border Patrol Lines. These bloodlines were acquired from the former DDR (East Germany) and Czechoslovakia in 1955, to serve Border Patrol. The dogs are unique with their strong nerve, large bone structure, dark pigment and willingness to work defense, obedience and tracking. They are the total companion - alarm system - bodyguard, all in one package! We are very excited to have them as part of our breeding program.
Zelda has been color gene tested through HealthGene and is black-factored.

Zelda is a "Carrier" on the OFA Degenerative Myleopathy Suseptibility Test. Zelda will ONLY be bred to a male that is "Normal" to insure that the puppies produced will not be "At Risk".

"Transitional vertebrae are a congenital malformation of the spine that occur at the junctions of major divisions of the spine (usually between the thoracic and lumbar vertebral junction and the lumbar and sacral vertebral junction). Transitional vertebrae take on anatomic characteristics of both divisions of the spine it occurs between. The most common type of transitional vertebrae in dogs is in the lumbo-sacral area where the last lumbar vertebral body takes on anatomic characteristics of the sacrum. Transitional vertebrae are usually not associated with clinical signs and the dog can be used in a breeding program. The OFA recommends breeding the dog to another dog that does not have transitional vertebrae."
Rave has the notation for her Spine of Transitional Vertebrae. I called OFA and talked with Dr. Keller to find out what this means for Rave. The Sacrum is made of a few fused vertebraes. Rave's first sacrum vertebrae has some characteristics of the lumbar vertebrae. It is symmetrical and stable. However, as a result of this - I am opting to not breed her as I would prefer to not pass along any spinal anomalies to future generations. She is a wonderful female with a gorgeous gait!! Have a happy life my sweet girl!
**Please note below the link to Rave's OFA page. Rave's notation of Spine Transitional Vertebrae does NOT show up on her OFA page. This is because it is noted as an incidental finding on her OFA Hip report. This means that unless you ask to see the actual OFA Hip certificate from the breeder, you will not know that the parents of a puppy actually have Spine Transitional Vertebrae. In Rave's Facebook pictures, I have included her OFA certificates so you can see how STV is noted on the OFA Hips certificate. Please ask to see any health certifications that a breeder claims on their breeding stock...copies can be fudged, and have information whited out.
