About Me

Professionally, I am an engineer.  As an adult, I got my first dog in 1999 and Worrywort Kennels became a reality...thus began my love affair...and dogs, showing and trialing became a "serious" hobby. Worrywort dogs have excelled in the showring and performance sports...and most importantly as being family companions.  We are seeking quality family homes for our babies!

Our dogs can and do win in the ring and on the field....however, we breed first and foremost for temperment and health.  We strive for the perfect blend of temperment, health and structure!  

To assure this, our breeding stock is champion titled and has extensive health testing. 

For Shepherds: Our foundation female, Heidi, produced Ava.  Ava has produced SIX CONFORMATION CHAMPIONS and FIVE OFA EXCELLENT HIPS.  Contrary to popular belief, not all shepherds are dysplastic!  All breeding stock will have appropriate hip and elbow clearances.  

For Basenjis: Our Foundation female, Boo, is Fanconi and PK clear.  She has her AKC Conformation Championship as well as her UKC Grand Conformation Championship. She additionally has her AKC Lure Course Championship and ASFA Lure Course Championship and was one of the top lure coursers in the nation (ranked #4) in 2005.   

Champion dogs produce dogs that are champions! Dogs with good structure produce dogs with good structure!  Dogs with good genes produce dogs with good genes!

Results of our breeding stocks health testing is on each dogs area with links to the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals for public verification.
